More than two months since the last update, Chapter Fourteen of KEEP YOU CLOSE has FINALLY been added. I know, I know, it's a shock to me too. And actually, it was supposed to be two short chapters that I combined into one longer one since the wait has been so long. I figured the people who have stuck with me deserved something interesting. LoL But now this may present another problem, as I've caught up the posting with the writing, so that means the next update won't occur until I sit down and write another chapter. I'm hoping this update will get me back in the swing of things. And though entirely too late, I have posted the two runners-up awards each that I won through The Soundtrack Awards and the Chaos Into Art Awards. So thanks to everyone who voted for me and my lazy, non-posting self. I've been incredibly busy lately, and unfortunately, hanfic was the one thing I could afford to push to the back burner right now. So if you've stuck with me this long, I love you. Seriously. EDIT: I reinstated the old guestbook, because apparently the site where I had my new one no longer exists. :-( |

Well, it's obvious I'm a terrible updater. And today is no better, because I still don't have another chapter ready. Between starting a new job, studying for my nursing license exam, planning a wedding, and the always unwelcomed writer's block, I haven't made much progress on KEEP YOU CLOSE. I'm at the point where I know where I want the story to go, I just feel lost on how to get there. So even though it may only be a few sentences per sitting, I AM still working on it, I swear. And believe me, I know how frustrating it is as a reader, so I'm incredibly thankful to everyone who sticks with me through it and who leaves words of encouragement in the guestbook, especially Dannie & Sarah. It might not seem like it, but it DOES help, I promise!! Also, voting is open at two award sites that you might have heard about where my stories appear on the ballots a couple times: THE SOUNDTRACK AWARDS and CHAOS INTO ART. There are MANY other fabulous stories nominated as well, and voting apparently won't be open long, so make sure you get your votes in on time! I really do hope to have an update for y'all soon [I know, I know, a dreaded word in the Hanson community], so keep checking back! |

No story update today, sorry. :-( Mostly I just wanted to stop in and say that I've been picked as the Author Spotlight on the JUST SHY OF REALITY boards for the month of June! I'm pretty excited about it, and ready to answer any questions thrown at me, about Hanfic or not. So if you're already a member, hit me with them, and if you're not a member yet, you should join because it's a lot of fun. :-) Also, the awards are posted from the FWID awards. I really need to apologize for the lack of updating. The last couple of weeks have been insane as I took a review class for my nursing license exam, graduated [YAY!], and moved into my new house. So right now, things might be a little slower until we figure out something with my fiance's and my computer. His is the only one hooked up to the internet right now, and I can't update the site from his because all of the programs are on mine. Right now I have mine set up on the kitchen table stealing wireless from the neighbors. So hopefully soon we'll have it all straightened out and get all of our stuff consolidated onto one computer. And yes, I do have another chapter of KEEP YOU CLOSE posted for y'all. I know it's been awhile, but don't forget about the guestbook! And thanks to Sarah, Hayley, Amber, Heather, Lauren, Ashleigh, Dannie, and Kristin for signing since last time, both about the stories and to kick me in the ass and make me update. :-) A couple other things I wanted to mention, are first, my new affiliate NAT, whose stories Damn It and Tumbling Down you MUST read if you haven't yet. Not a new chapter update, but I have added 2 new affiliates, HAYLEY and ALIE! Both of them were already on my reading list, so having them as affliates is an honor. Make sure you check out their sites and read their fics, I can promise you won't be disappointed. :-) Look for another update from me hopefully early next week, possibly the end of this week if I have time to sit down and get some writing done! |

I was going to wait to post this, but my weekend is going to be insane, so I figured I should do it before then. And because some people are really impatient and demanding about new chapters. ;-) This is my last week of school officially, and then I just have a couple things to finish up next week, but two weeks from Saturday, I will be a college graduate! I'll have a little bit of a forced break before I can start my new job, so I'm hoping to get some writing done in that time. So what do I have for you today? I posted Chapter Twelve of KEEP YOU CLOSE, which I'm guessing everyone will hate. Just stick it out with me! I also put up the first chapter of THE PLACES BETWEEN US, a new project I'm working on. It's located under the Coming Soon section, because I'm not concentrating as much on that one, and I don't know for sure that I'll even continue with it. But it's there to see what people think. It will be different than anything else I've written, that's for sure! I apologize in advance if the layout/header is heinous and hurts your eyes, but it's the best I can do by myself. LoL If anyone wants to donate a header, I'd love it! So let me know what you think of both updates, if ya don't mind. And don't forget to vote at FWID!

Not really an update today. Just wanted to let y'all know that Kristin and I came across a great new guestbook system that is more interactive. You can post messages, which I and anyone else can respond to with comments. Like Kristin said in her comment to the first test post, it's almost like Livejournal! So all the links should be changed. If you come across any that take you to the old Bravenet guestbook, if you drop me an EMAIL and let me know, it'd be much appreciated. :-) Also, while I'm making this update, I'll go on and plug Kristin's new site! She has upgraded from LJ to her own website, where you can still read her amazing fic, The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most. So be sure you check out THIS MODERN ROMANCE! Umm...well, I guess I didn't realize how long it had been since an update. To be honest, I really just wasn't feeling the demand for it. The guestbook-signing battle is one I'll obviously never win because I've said time and time again how disheartening it is to receive such little feedback, but it really hasn't changed much. Well, except for the people who have come asking me to update since it's been so long. Anyway, Chapter Eleven of KEEP YOU CLOSE is up. Thanks to Arti, Maria, Mel, Nat, Christina, Jana, Hayley B, Hayley S, Heather & Kristin for signing since last time! Voting is open at the FEEL WHAT I DREAM SPRING 07 AWARDS, so you have until May 26th to cast your votes for the stories and authors you love! So even if you didn't nominate anyone, or if you haven't looked over there yet, it's not too late to be a part of it. Chapter Ten of KEEP YOU CLOSE is posted, and it's one that really changes the story up and explains some things that may have been bugging you so far. It was a scene that I had thought of when first creating the story, so to get here feels like I'm making real progress. I'm getting more comfortable with where I want the story to go and how I'm going to get to it, so hopefully, I've gotten your interest enough to stick with it until the end. I think my little bout of writer's block is slowly fading because I've been working on and off on KEEP YOU CLOSE all day, so I thought I'd go ahead and post Chapter Nine. It's one I think you'll enjoy, and it's definitely good set-up for Chapter Ten, which I'm anxious to post! So the FEEL WHAT I DREAM SPRING 07 AWARDS are underway, and I've been nominated in a bunch of categories [thanks to Heather! <3]. The amount of traffic to the site from these nominations has been incredible, so again, I urge y'all to pass on the favor to other authors and stories you think need recognition by nominating them! You have quite awhile to do so! But besides that, I'm also updating to let y'all know that Chapter Eight of KEEP YOU CLOSE has been added. I fall more in love with this story as I write it, so it's kind of daunting to not receive very much feedback on it, positive or negative. I'm always open to suggestions of how I could improve things, etc. And of course, I just want to know that people are reading! I promise, it only takes a second, and it's completely harmless. ;-) Thanks to all of you who are regular signers. I love you guys! Well, anyway, until next week or so...
